Why continuing an education is so important to her:
"Continuing my education is important to me because I am finally able to fulfill my dreams of completing an education in general. Because of my upbringing, I did not think I would go back to school and earn degrees. This is a proud moment for me! However, continuing my education is important because we need more individuals with education to problem-solve and be a solution to the many problems that ails Black communities across the country. For instance, my goal is to empower formerly incarcerated individuals through mental health management. I cannot do this unless I have an education. Further, I would like to use this opportunity to pull others up with me or push them up above me so that we all can be a solid community."

Tiffany, what does the term “Golden Women” mean to you?
“The term “Golden Women” means that we are women who, first, become part of the solution by taking our skills and knowledge and sharing them with the world. We are women who strive to show what excellence can and should look like. We are also women who uplift, encourage, empower other women, men, children, and everyone in-between. We act as cheerleaders, support systems, and parents. However, we are also women who knows how important our work is so we engage in self-care so we can continue our work. Golden Women are humble, strong, resilient, and knows the power of discernment. Golden Women work to heal our communities for a better future.”
Tiffany, describe something that is plaguing young women today and explain what can be done to turn it around? What can you do to help?
“I believe that being the “strong woman” is plaguing our women today because I feel that we are misguided on what strong means and that maybe we should redefine it. For instance, being strong does not mean we can live without men. Being strong can mean that we know how to be in an interdependent relationship with men. Another example is our lack of ability to be vulnerable. Being strong does not mean that we cannot be vulnerable. Being strong means that we know how to work through our vulnerability when it arises so we can move forward in a healthy manner.”
