Board Of Directors

Alisha Hall

Alisha was born and raised in Chicago, IL.  Her passion for music led her to Columbia College Chicago where she received a Bachelors degree in Arts, Entertainment Management with a concentration in the Music Business.  Immediately after college she moved to Los Angeles to work for the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) where she spent 10 years administering royalties and supporting the careers of composers, songwriters and publishers.

She got the idea to start Golden Women Foundation when she gathered some of her closest friends in one room to discuss some everyday topics.  Eight hours later, she knew this gathering had grown into something more than just a "conversation with the girls" but the beginning of establishing a network of women of worth and value.  Now focusing on GWF full-time, Alisha is dedicated to encouraging women to becoming the best they can, not only for themselves but also for others around them.

Alisha strives, everyday, to live a Golden life.

Maricris Lapaix  Board of Director

Maricris graduated with her B.A. in Communication Studies from Cal State University, Long Beach. Soon after, she completed her M.A. in Communication Management with an emphasis in Entertainment Management from the University of Southern California.  Maricris Lapaix is the current reigning Miss California US for The Pageant US system. For her reign, she plans to combine her life passions together to promote her platform of health, wellness, and youth sports.

Some of Maricris' volunteer experience comes from working together with the Special Olympics, which is truly one of the highlights in her volunteer service. As an athlete herself, she finds it very heartwarming and inspiring to see the athletes compete at such high levels.  Maricris' first taste of success in the entertainment industry was as a fitness model. She has modeled for sports companies such as Adidas, Mizuno, Skechers, Puma, Dick's Sporting Goods, Reebok, and REI. Maricris was also selected as a model for exercise demonstration for Experience Life Magazine, as well as their online platform.

All of Maricris' previously mentioned accomplishments serve as her motivation to inspire others through her platform of health, wellness, and youth sports. She believes it is important to spread the invaluable lessons she has learned from her participation in sports; whether it be her determination to succeed that aided her in completing her masters degree, or her competitive drive to land brand-name modeling jobs, or even becoming Miss California US. As she finishes out her reign as Miss California US, she is working on launching her own online fitness show, Fitness Affair, to inspire others to live a healthier lifestyle in a realistic manner.
